Fascinating watching the visitors and the other birds that seem to travel with them. Can't seem to find many this week, might be too cold even here to stay long... Edit: Visiting White Pelican

The off-centre position of the bird makes this to a great image Elisabeth. Love this excellent shot.

I am disappointed, Elizabeth. I though i was going to see aliens in your yard or something. LOL. Actually, I am not disappointed at all. This is a great shot of the stork in flight. That IS a stork, isn't it? Beautiful camera work.

An excellent action shot of the White Pelican Elizabeth. Like Jimbo when I saw the title I expected to see Extraterrestrial life forms running around. Great job.

You can tell it is not a Mother-In-Law Pelican. It appears to be leaving. Wonderful action shot and so clear E~.

Outstanding capture of this in-flight pelican. I'm amazed by it's wing span. Fantastic post Elizabeth. Saved.

Birds are among the most efficient of Earth's creatures, I think. This one made me daydream that I could fly.... Superb Simplicity in this presentation...very, very nice!

These guys have a long way to go when seasonal migration comes upon them. There are a number of lakes, way up here in North Dakota, that are home to a huge population, close to 100,000 in various groups. How close to this one were you? Close enough to hear the swish of his wings? That's a real cool sound, matching this excellent photo.
