Everything is right in this for me, Elizabeth. Great color, framing, detail, DoF - all of it. I got this in the VB and came to check it out first hand. High marks by the way. A wonderful Mothers Day post and HMD to you -
Scott Kelby, one of the premier digital photographers in the country, says there are very few instances when a flower should be shot "head-on." In other words, Liz, you did it right. So right, in fact, that I get more of a sense of a miniature landscape rather than a flower. The pale lighting brings out the blue stamen in the middle in such a way as to make them appear a tiny forest of bulbous trees, seen from a distance, almost like an oasis in all that pink. Exceptional color, composition, and focus, and the pano treatment works very well here. Thank you.
