The Robins are more plentiful this year than I ever remember. They are here in the hundreds. They especially like the open fields. They sure are getting fat.
i myth of course..but as a kid was told that they return in the spring & that was the first sign..yah kids will believe anything. i like the melt in the background all the way down behind the bird, yet bird is till in focus..NICE! he looks a bit confused? perhaps you used a Nikon & not a Canon? these little guys are partial to Canons ya know? lol great detailed shot of what you are so very right in your narrative..tons of them here in the north.
This is a beautiful shot, Frank. The colors are soft, and blend so well. The space above the Robin's head does draw more attention than it should, and cropping off half that space increases significantly the impact from the Robin.
It's because they all left Canada, lol. Beautiful shot and can't wait to have them back, but of course there are a few that stick it out all year round.
Usually we see robins defending their territory in an aggressive way, but this one seems to be in an pensive mood. Exceptional to me Frank. Seen and captured very well. My compliments my friend.

Yes, I think our Robins are another colour for that matter as well... This here is very well rounded and looks so sweet. I believed all my life that Robins came to Poland just for winter ... Maybe from Canada ... :) SAM & SAAB
