I took this capture right out of my trucks open window. I had just tried to gain access to a ranchers land to take some pictures of the Yampa river and meet with a less than friendly rancher. I even offered to share my pictures with him. But I ended up with this so no complaints. I hope you enjoy it and thankyou for your recent comments.

Billy - Since you posted the photo, there was no train coming from the other direction! lol Beautiful colors, and terrific lines in this image. Certainly, this is an excellent alternative to the photos not gotten thanks to the grouchy rancher. Thad

It's a pity that those things happen, but it's reality, Billy.
Glad that you can offer us a very good alternative. Thanks for that, mate!

Very cool perspective. I like how the tracks disappear and the mountains are in view beyond. The colors and details of the surroundings are so nice!

The composition is really good BTK. You should have offered him a shot of this. It couldn't have hurt. :)
Wonderful shot.

I know what your talking about concerning unfriendly people. This is one of your better captures. I really like it. However, I might have left the railroad tower on the right out of the image.

This is a fine image..I too would have cropped the pole out though , it distracts..A matter of taste though.

Well at least you did ask the rancher first. Most people don't and that is what makes them cranky at the rest. I had it happen alot out on the farm. Some folks would even leave gates open that they opened to gain access, then it was chase down the cows time again.... Nice shot, but please get off those tracks Man!!!
