It is hard to really give you a true perspective of just how big and tall these rock faces really are. They rose hundreds of feet in the air and this was just the end of the cliffs. I do have a pano that I put togather of the whole thing but it took six shots from a few miles away to get it all it. Colorado like New Mexico and Utah has great color in the stone. I hope you enjoy this one and thankyou for your views.

One of my favorites, Billy. I see nothing wrong with this shot. It's a wonderful panoramic view of these cliffs. The colors are excellent. The detail is spot on. The textures are splendid. Just love that sky. IO do have an idea of how you could give us some scale to show just how massive these cliffs really are. Wear that florescent orange shirt in the back of your closet. Bring your tripod along. Set your timer to three hours and climb to the top. Wave you cowboy hat in the air just as the shutter snap open and closed. That way we'll know how big the cliffs are in relation to you.

On a separate and stranger note, start on the left and look at the 4th and 5th boulders. Tell me that those aren't carved faces looking at each other.

You are hereby awarded one "ataboy", one "fave" and one nomination to the A.C. for this glorious posting. Please don't tell me that you faked the sky. It would break my heart.

I have to agree with Skitzo that it does look like carved figures facing each other BTK.
I like the darker tones as well. Good work.

Fine shot here Billy. Every time I see a sight like this I imagine the Native Americans watching for intruders, or perhaps for passing deer, elk or buffalo below.

Beautiful hillside. Only thing needed is an eagle soaring over.
