This was taken not to far away from The Deschutes River in Central Oregon. Been a while since I posted due to work but I went on a little vacation and wanted to share a few of the pictures. I hope you enjoy.
Paul - Glad you got some time to relax (and take some photos)! The lighting on the rock face is beautiful. The moon above the hill top is a real nice part of the image. A very slight amount of noise in the sky is not a distraction from this fine composition. Thad
Beautiful capture and colours. Love the textures and layers in the mountains plus the way the setting sun is shinning on them, showing wonderful detail. Really like the way the moon is up in that beautiful blue sky
Hope you don't mind that I borrowed your ladder while you was away. I'll have it back next week once I figure out where I put it.:) A spectacular shot, Paul. Nicely composed scene with great lighting and colours.
The red button wasn't pushed so I pushed it. No, I'm not really Dennis the Menace but I thought this one deserved to be nominated. The clarity of all three main elements, the cliff, the moon, and the branches is difficult to manage, the moon usually losing out. For a low-light photo this is excellent; the colors are a good match to the tack-sharp DOF, and the intensity of the gold hue in the cliff face is just enough, something else that's hard to accomplish.
