John, I made a small mistake by thinking that you were talking about 'Tellurium', a chemical element with the symbol Te and atomic number 52, but I see now that you're talking about the plural form 'Tellurian'.
Tellurian may refer to:
-an astronomical device. It's a clock, mostly of Swiss origin, surmounted by a mechanism that depicts how day, night, and the seasons are caused by the rotation and orientation of Earth on its axis and its orbit around the Sun;
-anything pertaining to Earth;

At the end of the film, ^The AndromedaStrain^, the organism is constantly going through binary fission. If it had had an actual face and more colors than the one, this may be what it would have looked like. The multiplicity of shapes and colors, along with the muted tones and contrasts, make this one particularly special for me.
