You know my friend..I have always been interested in naval warfare!..my father was a chief petty officer on the the aircraft carriers 'Ark Royal and Indomitable' during WW2..I read many books relating to all this!...
This image you have shown us is very fascinating to me, and I would dearly love to have a look aboard that...Always fancied going under in one!!
Thank you for this!

i like how you got this perspective, it looks quite small until you see the people climbing on board because the people on the quay look quite big. you wouldnt get me in one of these!!!!

The perspective is definitely one of the strong point on this. I noticed that right away when I got this in the voting booth. The colors and the composition are top notch as well!

I never seen a supmarine that close - only on profissonal pictures. I like the colors here and the people add a lot to the feeling of this.

excellent capture Cornelius, not only of the vessels but of the people looking on in awe too! The sub is very beautiful - I know for sure I would not like to go underwater in one - I think I am a bit claustrophic! lol! ...however, your photograph is very good as I said as is the composition and clarity!

This is excellent, Cornelius. The composition and clarity are both sharp, and it's very interesting... Like Bob, my father served as a Navy Lt. in charge of munitions, on an aircraft carrier in WWII, the USS Tulagi, which, I think, was the only carrier to serve in both the Atlantic and Pacific arenas. She saw a lot of action.
