This Oranjemolen (Orange mill) can be seen at the seafront in Flushing, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The name 'Orange mill' has nothing to do with its colour, but is probably (don't know for sure) called after our Royal Family which has the family name Orange as well. It's not the first image of this mill at Caedes. Twinkel for instance provided us in the past with some nice images taken from a different angle.

Nice sharp shot of the mill and surroundings and the blue sky does enhance the whole picture. Good posting, Cornelius.

That's a doozie of a picture of the mill, Cornelius. I like the roof tops in the shot as well. Just beautiful, and before I forget to mention it...that is a great looking sky. Another quality image from my friend in The Netherlands.

Like lighthouses, these might mills have a special place in the heart. Beauty is more than skin deep here. The wooden gears spinning is a symphony of power and motion. Maybe not as efficient as the 3-bladed metal monsters, but like the might sailing vessels, they possess far more character. Thanks for sharing.

Another excellent one Cornelius. The sky is great and makes the Windmill almost sail off the screen. Your framing is again topnotch. Colors are really good as are the angle and composition. Very nice my friend.

I think we're all in agreement about the great quality of this photo. It's a real beauty.

You got me wondering, though, if in Dutch there is any word that rhymes with "orange". I certainly don't think there is in English.

A classic image. I like how you included the large stone foundations. The combination of the windmill and those stones suggests the energy and wisdom of the people who built them.
