Middelburg, a small town in Zeeland, The Netherlands, has a lot of canals. Streets on both sides of the canals are connected to each other by means of small (mostly pedestrian) bridges. It's a common use in The Netherlans to give a bridge a name. This bridge is called the 'Spijkerbrug' ('spijker' in Dutch is 'nail' in English), built in 1853, and therefore it's one of the oldest bridges there. Hope you'll enjoy this image.

A beautiful scene, Cornelius - I particularly find the blue and white combination here striking. The houses and the boats dominate the picture and so the "Nail Bridge" loses its importance somewhat. Very well captured, like all your other photos.

Nature in all her glory is my uplift on life.
