In Holland there's a TV-series for children, based on the British - American children's fantasy film Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000).

The major role is played by an old steam locomotive with a human face, having the same name.

The Dutch railway museum has converted an old steam locomotive into a train with a 'Thomas' appearance. On certain occasions children are able to make a ride with it.

When I visited this museum there was such an occasion.

If you check-out this link you'll see a similar situation that I had. I didn't know this in advance, else I had prevented this, to me a tad manic, situation.

I haven't joined the ride however. Perhaps I would have done this when I were 70 years younger, 😜 !

So, not only a Manic Monday (Mē) contribution, but a contribution for the SNATM-theme (🎥) as well.

Oh, I love this one and I am well acquainted with 'Thomas the Train'...when my son was little he watched the tv show faithfully and wanted all the different trains...he still has them to this day...a delightful addition to SNATM and a very nostalgic one for me...a great shot and a cute one for MM too...many thanks, SEA!!!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

One of the most entertaining photos/posts I have seen while on Caedes, SEA. It brings out the kid in all of us.
I believe it also qualifies for the new "Photojournalism," gallery.
Too bad all the news isn't like this, instead of the mayhem that currently hogs the front page.
Such a wonderful photo. Thanks for sharing.
