The Belgian pilot tender 'Raan' and the Dutch pilot tender 'Lynx' are meeting each other here, just off the coast of Flushing, a town on the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The pilotage of seagoing vessels coming from and going to Belgian ports like Antwerp and Ghent and Dutch ports like Flushing and Terneuzen is a bilateral (Belgian - Dutch) service.

Maybe not the correct back story but to me, they appear to be coming and going. Excellent photo with crisp and clean focus. Like the water action with the wash.

You had a good opportunity to capture both boats at the same time. It is a colorful, well timed, action shot, Cornelius.

Amazing composition SEA. The boats and the water action are a sight to behold. You even have a windmill and a steeple.
All the ingredients are there for a SEA CLASSIC.

I agree with Tick - a windmill, a steeple and two boats - all the components I identify with your photography Mr. C. - great timing on this one.

The water route from Antwerp to open sea passes through Dutch waters. It is good that there is such a cooperative arrangement for piloting the ships. Your photography skills on excellent display here.
