This is the first one of a series of photographs taken on June 26th, 2021 in Ghent, a city in the Flemish Region of Belgium.
This image shows the east end of the Saint Nicholas Church.
It's my intention to provide you, from time to time, with some photographs of this series of Ghent.

Years ago I had a friend here at Caedes, a young lady in a small rural town in the central U.S., who bemoaned the fact that there wasn�t a lot of photo opportunities in her locale�leading me to suggest a lot of macros. I am sure you know how lucky you are, C., to live in such a place of Old World splendor, culture, history, variety, and architecture, to name just a few. I am sure because you find these elements and present them to us with skill and forethought, providing the novices here with a five-star example. The first of your Ghent series is already a classic.

This is a wonderful example of your remarkable skill, Cornelius! I appreciate the images you provide. They are well done and you provide such great information. It brings art and history together, as well as all the other different things you bring to Caedes. It may be the only way I can see those places and things. It makes me happy!
