This photograph was taken on the Grote Markt (Big or Tall Market Place) in Mechelen, Belgium.
The Grote Markt is dominated by the Saint Rumbold's Cathedral. The Saint Rumbold's Cathedral is surrounded by historic buildings built in various styles, including the 16th-century Renaissance and the Rococo from the 18th century.
The Grote Markt has been traffic-free since 2004. The owners of the catering establishments there have taken this opportunity to place terraces. Judging by this capture, it's good to stay in this historic and impressive ambiance. Partly because of this, the coffee tastes delicious there, 😁 .

Looks like a nice place to sit and have a snack. The years show on the top of the Cathedral. The people have shown they want to keep the town looking new. Too bad we just bulldoze old and add new.
