Another shot from the tower in San Gimignano, in Tuscany, and another testament to my momentary conquering of my fear of heights. Thanks to all who view and comment.

Just a gorgeous panorama ...so many interesting things to see here. I'm glad you decided to conquer your fear of heights and include this shot to prove it. I know there must be major "highways" there, but it seems all I can spot are little roads, but perhaps it's only because you are up so high. :)
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso

Donna, although you have a fear of heights, you were not trembling (lol) while capturing this fantastic view. Wonderful! Regards & thanks (for your courage), Cornelius
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I had to comment seeing as I have just come back from a tour of Venice and Tuscany. I climbed that very tour and took many pictures from on top of it. Well done for the shot and conquering your fear! Wasn't is fab up there and in the town!
a fave.the feature here is the amazing patchwork recession of fields stretching to the blue yonder.i could not have taken this without tranquillizers owing to my extreme fear of heights.
