Taken with my Canon S2 IS this is one of my first night shots
using a tripod this was and experiment to see just how low a light factor I could get a picture in with no manipulations to the final result. Hope you guys like it.
Oh yes, I do. Even I would not like to be there. It seams to be cold and a little bit scary. Great picture. For a first one - I could not say, what should be better. It is perfect.
I really do like this one, it looks mysterious and scary, not a good place to be there I guess. Like the way the bushes are in the front and the fog around the streetlight just perfect my friend
This a wonderful look but the pic needs some help. There is a lot of noise and fog will enhance that. A run through some noise reduction would clear this some. Don't ever think the pros sell eveything out of the camera...they don't pay $600 for Photoshop and other software for nothing. I'm on a couple sites where there are a lot of pros and you would be amazed at how hard some of them work a photo. My motto...if they need work fix em. You have a good base photo here but it does need some tweaking. I really like the overall look of the picture. Good work.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Nice shot Don! Real cool capture! Jerrys right about the noise however. I use "Noiseware Community" which is a free download and super easy to use! It works great too! Give it a try next time & this will look even better! This is cool still!

I found that even just unshapening this image made most of the jpeg artifacts disappear, and the softer focus is not objectionable due to the foggy subject. A viewer wouldn't expect to see things sharply under such conditions. However, I'm going to check out "Noiseware Community." Thanks for that tip, kidder.
The feel is very mystical and a bit eerie and it's well composed Don. I'll leave the noise comments to the pros cause I'm not that good at them yet. I like the feeling this one brings and am glad you shared it.
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita

Forget photoshop. Go natural at every chance. You are not selling it so this is a great photo for the amatures. The fog and low light are natural so we can deal with the noise.
If I did not know better I would think "Jack the Ripper" was waiting just beyond the bend behind one of those trees. The fog, the darkness and even the street lamps together helps create a "foreboding" effect. Well done.
Just got this in the VB and had to come and see who took it, i think its a great atmospheric photo! And judging by the high c-index, looks like lots of other people think so too.
Pretty cool image. Pictures with low light factor is ok even with a little fuzz if there are certain things that have sharpness or light that makes them stand out in the picture.
Its like close up images with a soft and blurry bakground, they work fine even if not the whole picture is sharp. I think this works fine also because it delivers a "nice" kind of Jack The Ripper feeling as to speak. VWD!!
