The local pelicans have taken possession of a neglected wharf in my home town of Sussex Inlet. They are joined by a solitary pied cormorant.

Just kidding of course. It's a remarkable and very fine image however. Seen and captured very well!

What a great shot, Frank; it looks like a painting, one that would be perfect hanging in a seafood restaurant. I am surprised, however, by the lack of piles of pelican poo on the deck boards. The takeover must have been fairly recent. Definitely a fave for me.
