...and here he is again trying to escape from the mad woman with the camera! - "leave me in peace will you!" lol! I was fascinated - I have never seen a praying mantis so close-up before - I am just glad he moved so slowly and kept sitting so still - if he had been moving fast I would have been off like a shot! :)

When i could have had a voting, i would have given the first image a 10/10 rating, this one just a little lower, because the wood distracts a little.
But hey, i find it most daring that you came so close of this large beast.
Futhermore, it is a great additon to the other image, because now you see him from the top. Look at the wings, they just look like folded tree leaves. well done Patty well done.

Humans are one of the few things a praying mantis fears. It is a ruthless and effective kill ing machine, matched only by the ladybug in ferocity. Great capture.

well done Patti its a great composition good use of non square angles and the framing complements too

the mantis being where it is gives the appearance of hiding slightly and being ready to pounce!

Can really tell how long he is in this one Patti. Terrific clear composition and great color again and the green framing matches very well. Nicely done again and glad you shared him. Thanks Patti.

Great capture of this savage little beast. I would run across them all the time when I lived in Ohio and they always scared me. Why, I don't know. Great work.
