This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands,— This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England. Shakespeare - King Richard II. Act ii. Sc. 1. I have been shooting in raw mode today - hmmm sounds ominous! lol! this view is from Disley in Cheshire looking out towards the Peak District in Derbyshire.

Lovely sight Patti. Just magnificent greens and clarity and sheep, and one can see for miles and miles. Wonderful post and excellent writeup. So glad you shared this view. BTW, I keep toying with RAW captures but find that they take up so dang much space that I always end up going back to the large. Would love your opinion ;) Thanks.

hehe he digicamman, it is not Patty who has been drinking, but Shakespeare !
It was a quotation only.
I have been experienting with raw to today Patty, i am still trying to find my right setting, man oh man why are there so many possibilities on such a thing ?
In the past, you just clicked the button, nowadays you get a telephone thick book with it to see a few of its options.
Anyway, it worked very well for you in this image. saturation is just right, nothing to bright, just good colloring.
A fine shot ! thanks for posting it.

This is a keeper. So did you do this one in raw and processed it in raw? I need to start doing that. You beat me to it. What software are you using to process in raw? This is beautiful.

Vast and beautiful ... this scene in your England. Wonderful clarity throughout. I'm totally unfamiliar with shooting "raw" ... and frankly it puts images in my mind that really don't belong on a family site. Thanks for showing me how beautiful your countryside is Patti
