........hold tight! going up!!!! :) I was in Manchester today with my daughter - we shopped 'til we dropped! lol! ...but still I had chance to capture a few shots of the Manchester Evening News Wheel. ...no time for a ride and my daughter was much more interested in the shops than the wheel! lol! I hope to be able to capture some photographs from the top in the not too distant future! ....until then....enjoy the ride!

I certanly do like the perspective of the wheel here, and its mirroring reflection in the glass on the left. A shame you did not get in and gave us a shot from Manchester from above though !!! but girls like to shop !!! but i already knew that :-O

Wow there's a lot of shapes and angles going on in this upload, Patti. I'm trying to figure out what that pinwheel shaped thingy is over on the left-hand side. Along with the News Wheel, and the contrails in the sky and that puffy cloud...there's a lot to absorb here. You guys are really nuts for your ferris wheels over there, huh ? >>LOL<< :)

Patti, think when you have to choose between taking photographs and shopping, your choice was not that difficult as your daughter was interested in shopping. We Caedes people have to accept this and try to live with it (lol!!). Think you achieved with this image a far more than reasonable result! Wonderful!Regards, Cornelius

Wow! That's a *big* wheel. Very nicely shot Patti; I like the angle, and the reflections in the building on the left.

All thanks to the Chicago's World fair 1893. Fantastic picture! The sky makes for a beautiful backdrop to such an impressive machine.
