....so much activity!! - what an amazing place to be. Essaouira is East along the coast from Agadir in Morocco and the fishing port is busy throughout the day - a place where people gather not only to work but to meet friends and to observe the activities. Essaouira (pronounced Essa wee raa, as my Moroccan friend tells me)is a tourist spot and has a beautiful sandy bay, plus a fishing port and has an old and new town and an exciting and bustling madina (market). In this picture you will also observe the camaraderie that I witnessed wherever I went in Morocco.

Patti, you've captured very well the typical atmosphere of (small) harbours along the Moroccian Atlantic Coast. For people which aren't familiar with the local habitudes there, they might have the impression that it's somewhat untidy, but it's on the contrary: it's very cosy and people there are very friendly.
Very good post.
Regards, Cornelius.

I like the bleeding away at the edges and the sense of weightlessness that comes from all those masts reaching into the sky. Beautiful comp again Patti with the diagonal across the frame from left to right and the gulls adding a sense of movement.

Fantastic image with so much to see at. I remember that kind of friendship from a trip to Tunesia and I can only say: Who else to touch? The girls are at home.
