.....overlooking La Corbière Lighthouse in Jersey. In April 1995 the Saint Malo struck a rock, 900 metres north of the lighthouse. The monument was erected in recognition of the bravery of the men that rescued all 307 passengers and crew.

yes there is and if you look carefully you can see it below the surface of the water. It is accessible at low tide. :)

This is an awesome capture Patti....the composition is good. I love the lighthouse in the background. The story is fascinating as well.

It's a great monument, very evocative. Glad to hear that all the passengers were rescued. You've put this together really well, with the sculpture in the foreground and the lighthouse off in the distance.

Hideeeeeehooooo Fogz ! yep, back from the hollidays, and had a quick look on what you have been up to these last 3 weeks.
This one popped out straight away, and i sure do like what i see. Not only is it a very nice sculpture, and great background setting, but i also admire the way you took the shot. Although the sculpture is very much in the foreground, you managed to get that and the background sharp very much so. A well choosen camera setting.
