There's just something so beautiful about everything dressed in white. This is nicely captured. I like the exposure you used with the DOF focused on the branch and the shutter speed to capture a little movement of the falling flakes.

Very simple but elegant photo. I like the framing and the touch of green in a white world. Nice post Gerry.

Gerry,
I must agree with Tick's comment...simple but elegant. Love these type of shots. However, I must admit I am so over the snow!!! Go away, snow, go away!! 2 more months!! ugh! - Pam

Jim (jimbobedsel) posted today an image of fresh fallen snow. In my comment I said that he showed us some unspoilt nature. Can give this image the same comment Gerry. Really beautiful!

Nicely done. I say we might as well make the best of what we have around us, and it looks like you've got just about what I've got. I'm just waiting for it to stop falling already, so I can go out and drive in it!

Excellent detail, Gerry. The softness of the background really highlights the subject. Another very nice close up.

Great shot Getty. Not sure about the white frame I think a black frame would have been a better choice. That would give more impact.

I love snow, and I love pines. Combination of both worlds.

Great job!

Love it Gerry. I really need to get out at least once after a snow fall, not been a good winter for me.
