A sign that winter is coming soon to the UK.This rose bud in the UK the kids would split it open and put it down your back as it would make you hitch like mad. They used to use it in joke hitching powder.

Nice close-up Roger. Great colors and depth of field. Even we can see the cobweb.

Great resolution and color. I like how you composed the buds.
The spider webb is a nice touch as well.

I have been scratching ever since I looked at this Roger. Nice shot and information. They don't look like rose buds. Maybe this is what Citizen Kane was talking about.

Sorry, but these are not buds. These are the "fruit" of the wild rose. We make marmalade and tea of them. They have great taste, but cooked. But, nice shot.

A very good close-up of these rose hips, Roger. Wonderful details and clarity, you can even pick out the strands of the spiderweb. Beautiful colours and a great DOF. I had no idea you could use these to make itching powder. Remind me to never open any packages sent from you, lol.

Great closeup and detail, Roger...I have not heard of these for itching games, lol, but when I first saw this I thought of rose hips and tea.

Lots of these around here, but haven't gotten a nice shot like this. Sharp, and the lighting is very nice.
