These photo's were taken to see if i could capture the feel of the times.Meaning although it is 2010 does it look like 1940s even though it is in colour.

No it doesn't! Didn't you know everything was black and white back then??
(jokes, jokes!)

Awesome shot! Keep it up!

I liked Timothy's joke :) If we imagine, the colors could be like in your photo. But it seems too 'tidy' for a war scene. No smoke, nothing broken. The soldier on the vehicle seems like a bird to shoot.

Well Roger, you have them perfectly flanked and have gotten off a great shot. Nicely focused with good colours and details in your photo.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

The hay won't provide much of a deterrent for flying bullets Roger. Good composition.

Great color to this scene. I think they would have been glad to have had that nice field to lay in.

There actually were color photos taken during WWII. Not many, they were quite rare, but color nonetheless. The saturation on those was much stronger than the well-balanced photos of today, and yours is a good example of that. I have a feeling that if you had seen one of the original colored WWII photos and tried to emulate it, you would have gotten an even lower c-index than you did, most people not realizing the effort or reason behind it. As it is, this is a very good shot, deserving of much better than you've received. I am a historian of sorts, specializing in WWII and Jewish history, particularly the holocaust, and I find your photo to be a fine example of documentary recreation. Well done. The only suggestion I might have made would be to remove some of the more modern artifacts in the background. Otherwise I like it enough to make it a favorite.
