This shot is better enlaged...Soon it well be surrounded with bracken and deer and it branches with birds and the sound of children playing around it's trunk.

Looks reminiscent of a circular polarized photo to an extent.
I love that tree. It's unusual shape, I imagine, from having grown in the setting it found itself. Quite the struggle fighting that slope.

I do get, I believe, the reason for the inclusion of the other surrounding trees ... in that it illustrates/underscores your title well.
I am wondering, given the character that is readily apparent with the 'lone' tree if it would not make for and literally stand alone in an image by itself?
Perhaps, a companion photo then and more of a suggestion here, than that of a caveat.
