One doesn't have to go clear out to someplace special to get the enjoyment of nature's reminder of impermanence. This one was taken in the parking lot of my local grocery store. Redmond, Oregon, USA.
It's almost a visual representation of God's return. I can't tell if he's upset or not, although, if he were, then I'm guessing we'd be seeing black, roiling clouds instead of these beautiful red and gold oak leaves.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
You have such a magic mastery of colors. Always breathtaking. And the sun's spiking rays, with every sweeping branch in focus ... wow, what a beautiful photograph!
I also like your wise reminder of fleeting impermanence and environmental awareness, wherever you happen to be. Namaste.
