Here's another snag from my float down the Rhein. The castle is above the village of St. Goarshausen, and was built around 1371. Napoleon bombed it 1806 and it was rebuilt in the late 1800s. Along the Rhein; June, 2018.

PS: 'Die Loreley' is a figure from German literature that, among other things, has been immortalized in the poem by Heinrich Heine, as sung above. The nymph who with her song distracts skippers from the dangerous rapids at the rock of the same name, made her first appearance in the Lore Lay by Clemens Brentano in 1801.
