Kim Now that is just beautiful! That color sitting there on top of those mountains really makes for a very nice image!I also like how the sun lights up the snow on the peak. The scene looks very cold but that sun warms it up quite nicely. Great job Paul
You have four full width layers of totally different lighting to contend with, Kim. Cropping out all the sky above the cloud banks allows you to brighten the foreground with + Gamma, without adversely affecting the sunset, but giving more body and exposure to the overall image.
An interesting scene Kim. I like how it goes from a b/w image in the foreground to a full colour photo in the background. A lovely view of the valley and mountains. Nicely presented and composed.
A fair amount of noise in here, always a challenge in low-light, but wow, what color! Since the darker area at the bottom is rather muted, I think it would have been safe to clone out the houses, making it look entirely like a wooded area, thereby making a wilderness pano of it. It pays to be in the right place at the right time, doesn't it?
