Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want to go for a quick dip here. Very good clarity for a low-light morning shot - the middle tree line on the left is nice and sharp as is the frost in the foreground. The distant trees are expected to be soft because of the light haze coming off the water. This will always happen when the water isn't frozen. It's warmer than the snow and frost so of course it will cause condensation. I also like how you've placed the curve of the canal in your image, curving to the left around and behind the trees, allowing our eyes and imagination a place to go, leading, possibly, to that bridge I faintly see in the distance. A good photograph.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Lovely winter scene and I like how the water is leading the eye right through the picture :o)
