It is not the best time for photo artists, since the skies are not that nice anymore. And you? You simply do not care about it and make a great picture. You found a very nice motive, and made a little artwork out of it. Great.

This capture is perfect. I would'nt mind seeing this same shot taken during a sunny clear day. Although this is a perfect shot and I will put on my desktop. Thank you
Great perspective on this, Jen. Nice time of day for the setting and I see they have reflectors on the poles so no one falls into the water after dark!
You really get around. You need to start a site that says "where in the world is Jen now". A very nice photo of Manteo. Hopefully you enjoyed your stay at the Outer Banks area.
Does someone need to know how to capture a variety of nightmarish lighting condiditons all in one photo and get it right? Then study this one. The water would normally be a problem with detail washout. The white lighthouse-to capture it without losing detail is a problem. The grey sky would normally be a problem. Put them all together in one composition and you have a real challenge on your hands. But, you got it perfectly. if I wore a hat, I would bow and tip it to your expertise.

I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I found the posts to be especially interesting in this perfect capture. I was wondering if the lights that are affixed to them were giving them that painted look, as if they had been put through a filter. Gee, I wish I had half the knowledge and skill you possess...this is just super in every way and on every plane :)PJ
I'm behind in my comments again. I just want you to know that I've viewed this image and found it to be very nice. I've enjoyed viewing it and thank you for posting it. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

The lighthouse has a welcome look to it. I'd wager on a stormy night it is a good place to be or to see. The moss tells the direction it faces. I wonder if it is manned or automated?
