this was taken near crescent city, california. the color of the water is how it truly is. here's a mini blurb about it: "WILD AND SCENIC RIVER The Smith River's emerald waters course through forested slopes and rocky peaks on its way to the Pacific Ocean. Along this free-flowing river (no dams), many recreational opportunities abound including exciting rafting, steelhead fishing, and kayaking. " Thanks in advance for any comments. ENJOY!

What a beautiful photo. I love the green water and the green trees around, but the blue sky with the white clouds is pretty, too. Nice job.

Fabulous capture Jen, the reason for the river being that colour is because there is a lot of lime stone in the bed, it causes that. Just a little info for you to know. We have quit a lot of lime stone up here.

Your capture really is beautiful and sure shows the magnificent colours and such scenery. Beautiful

Man, did you ever bag the color of that water accurately. I like the way I can see down below the surface a little on the right hand shoreline. HOWEVER...the muddy colored brush (in places) on the left doesn't look right. ???????????
