please view FULL SCREEN. lower antelope always seems to show itself off best when photographed vertically. it's such a glorious place to visit. a tripod, although i don't like using one, is essential. one wants to use the lowest possible ISO to pick up details. thanks in advance for any comments. ENJOY!

Oh Jen...What an amazing photo!!! It so reminds me of the paintings that Georgia O'Keefe has done. I love the colours here. I just often wish there a person or something else in the photos so I could figure out the depth of it all, the overall size. And the way I can see thru that hole plus the wonderful shadows. Wow!! This is just gorgeous. Very high on my list, thanx so very much. I love all these postings you've been sharing with us.Verena

A subtitle for this one could be "Dropped Earring." That hole near the top looks a bit like a stone ear and the rock on the floor the earring that broke loose. It could also be "Gesundheit!" for another possible scenario. Whatever the subtitle may be, the interplay of shadow and light here is stunning along with the colors.
