Cromwell, Connecticut, USA. After a looong winter, and cold spring, finally nature is beginning to show signs of life. Leaves on a young red maple in the front yard have started to unfurl. This is pretty much 'right out of the camera;, with very little post-photo work beyond RAW processing. My apologies for such a prolonged absence from Caedes; several projects that needed my attention took far longer to complete than ever imagined and became time vacuums. Yesterday, I finally had the opportunity to get the camera out of the bag and spend an hour capturing some garden photos.

Welcome back I've missed your outstanding shots (I thought the nasty winter may have buried you! LOL) This is a beauty and at about the same stage many of our leaves are at.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

Most spectacular view, all the more charming for having been awaited for so long. Eerie red shapes, yet so sweet !!! Very nice composition, Thad dear.

Always glad to welcome back a good friend, Thad. Glad to see you survived the winter. It seems to get more difficult each year.

I see you have not lost your touch with the camera.

They remind me of the hand and fingers of Greg Ferguson's robot side kick on the Late Late Show. You have done a masterfully job in this one Thad. Great detail and focus.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
