This is an authentic log cabin, not a replica.
I am posting another shot of it that I manip'd to give it an older time feel....but personally, I like this one best...just as it is...
I have viewed both versions and like them both - overall prefer this one. The manip'd version should suit the sepia toning but somehow it loses it realism, whereas this one, although it could be from the past looks real and lived in and altogether lovely. I could live there :) Its a great composition with the trees framing the cabin and the pathway with its sun shadows invites me to walk closer.
Having said that I have just had another look at the other one and not am not sure any more so will just say they are both fantastic - excellent work Terri.

This looks like a dream home to me - minus the gators of course LOL. I can almost picture what it would look like inside. It has a very homey feel to it and you've done an excellent capture of it Terri. This one is going into my favs.
My house looks a lot like this, only it has a gambrel roof and the chimney comes out the top. It doesn't look as old as this one. Mine is only thirty years old. I like this one better because it is more 'real' looking than the maniped one.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Looking very professional. Great balance in this scene and excellent clarity and detail.
I have a humble suggestion for you to correct for some of the slight overexposure in the sky portion. No biggie ... just a lil' help for those challenging light conditions. Have a look here, under "Polarizing Filter." Just an f.y.i..
Make no mistake ... I do like this one. Nice work. :o)
So this is your secret base when exploring the nature? What an interesting cabin. I hope you'll invite all your Caedes friends for New Year Party deep in the woods? I promise to fetch a bottle of champagne...
Hi Terri, having looked at both versions I'm going to sit on the fence and say I like them both equally. This one shows up the authenticity of the place really well whereas the manip version gives a better impression of it's age...does that make any sense? Well I know what I mean anyhow;o)
Is this an original settlers cabin? How old is it?
Cheers,
Steve.
