Well now, what have we here, LOL...if this isn't 'Standing out from the Crowd' I don't know what is...a most original and excellent entry, Doug...best of luck.
He'd fit right in if he were in New Orleans. Dan and I saw this guy in Austin while the Austin police were having a talk with him about going eleswhere ..... he must have gone to NYC!
He one brave dude I would not dare to standing in the street like that lol .Great detail lol and stunning colours and spot on composition .Now I will hand my IPad to the wife she likes it more than me lol.
This has been one actual "eye-opener" for me this morning LOL Although I generally prefer men attired more decently and wearing expensive casual clothes after all. Doug dear, this contest promises to be a real fun and interesting experience. Good luck and for God's sake, fella put on some clothes! LOL SAM & SAAB
Be interesting to hear him play in the middle of winter. A great capture of the cowboy, Doug. Good clarity and focus in the photo. Best of luck in the contest.
Unlike Jon Voight in "Midnight Cowboy", this appears to be Gitar Gill in "Midday Cowboy." In a small town they'd pick him up in a rubber truckNew York is more tolerant of colorful characters (otherwise that's all the police would have time to do) because there's so many more there. Actually, I'm not sure who's the odder character here, the cowboy or his rapt audience in the black suit and blue cap behind him. Yeah, this one definitely has the best shot at winning 1st in the contest. Unbelievable image... I have to wonder what sort of psychological need brings the cowboy to a performance like this. -Nik
