I've set myself an assignment this month. Photograph what's right on my doorstep with one lens set at one aperture. These are my first efforts. St Luke's church is practically next door and is now home to the London Philharmonic Orchestra. I've been wanting to find a way to photograph it for ages.

Super montage Nigel!...I like to see these kinda building a touch on the dark side!...Each individual shot would make an excellent post!

Well done for this mate!

Are you treating us to a slide show of your neighborhood? What a great idea. Your first effort is very well presented. Good work, Nigel.

As a whole, the three make a great image the way you've presented them. I like that you pick up some of the detail in one and show that in the photo next to it. Also, the touch of blue adds a lot to this montage.

I bet this would look great on their website, if they had one as a headliner. Great stuff and I'm hoping you have a rather large neighborhood.

Good idea and even better presentation Sir Nigel. Guess I know where you'll be spending some time this year. Music will fill the air and I suspect it will carry over into your photography. It's already musical. Have a good weekend.

Now we know where you live Nigel! lol! You never know who might just be knocking on your door while they are passing! :) I really like the play of light and shadows along with the architecture which is interesting also to look at!

I am sorry that I have not been able to even complete my first assignment! I am a dead loss! lol! ....well just too many things going on really. ....but maybe I will try to capture what is on my doorstep too.

An excellent triptych Nigel. I love the moodiness of each of the panels. If this is the standard of the first of the series then we're in for a treat.

Excellent presentation, the three panels work really well with the images, and the coloring is great, gives it a very somber feeling.

Nigel, now let me tell you that I am a very "happy" type of person (or so I'm told ;-) ), but this image has a kind of "miserable" feel to it which I love!!! I like the way you've used very little colour, and that presentation is something you only see in a magazine. This is great experimental stuff, and waiting in anticipation for your next post...
