I spotted this toddler in front of her mother's booth at the farmer's market. She scooted over to touch, then grab the flowers and in the next shot they were in her mouth! I wish I could have been on her level...such a cutie, but I did the next best thing and Ortonized the flowers, hoping that they looked that good to her!

:)PJ

EDIT NOTE TO THE MODS: THIS IS NOT MY CHILD, NOR IS SHE ANY RELATION TO ME AT ALL: THEREFORE, I DO NOT WISH TO TRY TO ENTER THIS IN THE "MY COMMUNITY" GALLERY. THANK YOU.

My first impression was that this was an image taken far back in time as it has a very nostalgic composition and tones to me. Reading your narrative does me conclude now that both your photographic skills and using 'orton' gave me that impression.
Excellent capture PJ.

i think ortonizing hit the spot. it's so great that your mind goes to that place and sees it as an enhancing device. your sense of knowing what to apply at just the right time is wonderful. i agree with cornelius in calling it a nostalgic piece.

Although this little one is cute PJ, the capture is more than cute, it is a beautiful portrait of a moment in time; a time to cherish; a time to remember when one is old and looking back over ones life. You certainly have a good eye for this genre. I love it!

PJ, this post just has it all - great lighting, candid pose, beautiful colors, great composition. Someone once told me that 2 of the marks of great art are whether or not it tells a story all by itself and whether or not it touches someone. This succeeds on both levels.
