This is wonderful, Rob! The corrosion is as much of an artistic element to the image as your amazing colorization. You really bring these images to life.

Perfect colorization again, Rob.
You gave the late lady L. M. Smith a second 'life'. Only the spots/dots/erosion/corrosion on this portrait reveals that it's taken at days long gone by. The well dosed colors gives lady Smith even more dignity than she already had in the original B&W version.

I have to wonder about the length of time required then to produce a hairdo like this. Did she do it herself or was a personal maid a crucial part of the process? These LOC images are a great slice of history in their own, Rob, but your colorization is bringing these folks back to life. We can look in their eyes and dream up ideas of what their lives might have been like.
