I'm an unconventional soul Rob and believe departed souls keep watch over those they respect back here. But hey no one can prove anything about the spiritual world and scientists are so keen to discredit it.

Political rant over. This image is special!

Progress equals a trashed planet since mankind is too busy altering it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Enjoy yourself today (o: because you don't know what tomorrow may bring.

Rob, England is 'famous' for its ghosts, but see now that some of them were moved to Canada about 1910, ☺ .
By your perfect colorization, you've reduced their spooky appearance. The way how they are dressed, could make them to human beings, ☺ .
Very 'cool' (please notice the quotation marks) work, my friend!

I'm guessing these three were standing in front of an ornate fence with a heavy, dark growth of something like shrubs behind it. That would account for the waving shape to the left of them. These double exposures are very cool and were popular at that time. Harry Houdini was 17 and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was 52 when this image was produced, and both men fell heavily for the craze of spiritualism and mediums. "Ghost" photos were intensely sought after and studied (Doyle blew a huge portion of his wealth on the craze, to the dismay of his family, and it led Houdini into investigating and debunking mediums).

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

Very weird - what on earth is Nik talking about - double exposures etc. Of course they are ghosts - you can see the ghostly trail on the left !
:) :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
