Huummm....did fiddle around with this one came out a little like something out of the Twilight Zone that somehow just happens.
So remembering Bob Ross ...think he used to say something about happy little mistakes... I decided to leave as is.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Rob, was she the world famous Okie from Muskogee? ( ☺ ☺ ☺ ).
I don't think so because of the in the earlier era taken image.
Think however that she's anyhow a decent farmer's daughter. This appearance is enhanced by your usual excellent colorization work.
Referring to your additional comment, please don't talk about little mistakes as long as they aren't noticed by someone, ☺ !

I think you did a fine job on this one, and it sure has a rural feel to it, not only with the flat and barren landscape, but the young woman barefoot, really is a superb element. tigs=^..^=

I went to school with a number of "farmer's daughters" like this young lass. Lean of build; strong from doing chores for most of her life; sometimes in need of a hair trim because the family didn't always get to town; tall because she's in a growth spurt; perfect complexioned from eating fresh veggies, fruit, and dairy right from the cow; innocent from hanging out with siblings and cousins most of the time, instead of city kids trying to impress her with how mature they are(n't); and sweet because that's what mom and dad expected. From about the third grade on I could tell the difference between farm kids and city kids without even asking them, and, generally, how much nicer the farm kids were. I was a city kid but still ended up working six years on a ranch/farm, hauling hay and straw, auguring oats, riding horse, chasing down calves in a spring blizzard, and fixing mile after mile of barbed wire fence. For a city kid I knew the itch of rolled oats and the stink of scours, and that kids like this young lass had it better than she probably thought she did.

The title here says a lot. Excellent choice and your skills add so much. It is kind of chilling to think what this area may look like now, I love the diversity of your choices.

Judicious thinking and choice.

As I like the results of your 'creative happy accident' here, too. :o)
