While at Edisto, SC, I noticed what looked like a log in the pond behind our house. With my camera, I found it was an alligator moving through the water with no signs of movement. I went outside to take a few photos and it kept coming straight towards me. It was time to go back indoors.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Is there any wonder these guys go back nearly to the extinction event, about 64 million+ years ago (the K–T event, called the Cretaceous–Paleogene, was 65.5 million years ago and delineates the end of the dinosaurs and rise of mammals) during the Paleocene. Not a dinosaur but one of the reptile nasties that followed the dinosaurs. Ain't telephoto great, Ted? Keeps you in ownership of your appendages and breathing. So what did your better 7/8ths say when you showed her this one? She's too nice to whack you upside the head but I bet she wanted to until you mentioned using telephoto. 8P
