She does seem to be licking her chops Tigz. She's probably heard about your photography talents and is drooling at the thought of you taking her picture. I would have had trouble leaving the safety on. I love the light on her. I just never tire of looking at them. Great post Tigz.

COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
I agree with Tom and will go so far as to say, that the visual layering of the foreground, mid and background ... really does enhance this shot very much Sandi.
Add in the upright backdrop of the intermingled trees ... really nice.
I can certainly appreciate that you have to be quick to capture these graceful animals. Think I recall in one of your other narratives the lens you used ... and if this is a hand held shot? ... well done.
This one gets the nod from me, as the horizontal lines that are formed are more or less, if not almost spot on ... in line with the simple rules of thirds. Works well here.
Caveats? Some additional clarity of the deer itself and this would be an excellent shot. Presented to us as you have? ... good, if not very good.
Framing? Hmm, this might be personal tastes. A bit more understated on the drop shadow thing would be my preference. It is not overbearing ... just think, less is more ... let the photo speak for itself.
Nice work Sandi. And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
