A quiet moment for these two out at the Tri-Lakes Game Preserve. I cropped the image some and removed some droppings on the ground. Shot this out the car window with the camera resting on my arm as I did not want to disturb them. I took this with my new Cannon EOS 450D / Rebel Xsi 12.20 megapixel camera and a new 75-300 zoom sandi♥

Sandi ... sounds like you are very excited about the new cam & that is well expected. Wonderful capture ... I like how mom & baby are posed. They look so relaxed too. Can't wait to see more from your new digital. Very well done.

Hi Sandi, Nice detail with the new camera, I get confused on what settings to use on my xti, whether or not to use the raw format, If someone could shed some light on this or point me to a tutorial beyond the instruction manual.

Very nice. So you shoot all your pictures RAW? Is that why they are so clear all the time? I have that mode on my camera, but have never tried it yet. Any tips? LOL.

Sandi, don't know whether it makes much difference when you capture your uploads to Caedes in the Raw or the JPEG mode, as you have to convert them still to a JPEG format with max 3000 by 3000 pixels. The only advantage could be that capturing in the RAW mode offers you more post processing possibilities.
This is anyhow an excellent (JPEG mode, lol) image. Well done.

One of the main things is to experiment with exposure settings and aperture.This is where you can learn a lot about your camera
and photography as well.Shutter speed,saturation and EV also
play a big role.I have not used my auto settings on either of my
cameras for months now.Sorry for going on just tryin to inspire.

Hey Sandi, this came up in the VB and I just had to stop to comment...love the positioning of Mom and baby here...quite unique and endearing as Mom watches over the young one while typically the curiosity of the baby is on you...great shot and thanks for sharing.
