After meeting a friend for lunch and taking some pictures and visiting with her, I ended up driving around trying to catch the fantastic clouds formations.

Of course I did not get much done around the house so will have to make up for that Sunday! :)

I decided to remove my posting "Clouds Over Center Lake" I will try to rework that one for you, and post it some other time.

I appreciate your honest comments and advice.

This one had a bit of HDR work done it, and I used the Sigma 17-70 lens for this shot.

Thanks again for your views, honest comments, and helpful advice.

I'm off to hopefully to get some good sunset pics. :) I love a good sky!

:)sandi

What a spectacular sky - clouds with dramatic definition. I like the lighting on the field - it ads to the drama of the photo. Well done!

I really like the golden hue of the harvested wheat field Tigz. It makes for such a great contrast to that foreboding sky. Good use of FDR.

Sandi, very dramatic and as you say moody but I think the HDR work has given the sky an artificial look about it ( like it was a CGI creation). Sorry.

It's great the way your eye is drawn to the horizon by both the clouds and the lines of the fields. Compositon is just excellent and like the brooding effect of the clouds. Good use of colour.

Every so often I see a shot in Caedes that could have a definite purpose. This one could be on a poster for crop insurance, or the dust jacket of a novel about a murder in the "Heartland" of America, or a documentary about storm chasers. Very moody indeed and I love my Sigma 17-70 macro -- It's my "do everything" lens. You must have either set the ring on 50mm or you fixed the horizon line after the fact. It's perfectly straight and, thank God, level. Very nice photograph here, the HDR enhancement is at just the right amount, not overdone at all.
