Another capture of the dragon fly. I think these flyers are so neat to watch and I love their intricate structure. I used the canon 450D and Canon 70-300 IS USM lens, and handheld.

A few weeks ago, one landed on the cable that we use for a dog run for Dakota. I was able to stand right next to it, and watch it. I tried for shots with the camera, but I guess I was trying to get too much of close up, and the zoom did not handle it well. I should have tried Macro! I actually put my hand out to it, and almost touched it, but held back. That dragon fly sat there for a long time before finally flying off, Pretty darn cool experience.

Thank you in advance for your comments, I do appreciate hearing from you.

My images are not to be uploaded on any other site. Thank you,

=^..^=sandi♥

It must be the rare One Hump Camel Dragonfly Tigz. I have never learned to speak Dragonfly, but I am willing to learn.
Excellent work.

Very sharp details on the dragon fly Sandi. Very nice capture. I can imagine that focussing must have been difficult.

Your so patient to get awkward macro shots like these Tigz, & it looks so good against a blank background.

Amazing how you could achieve such sharp details of this dragonfly as they can be very dynamic.
Well done Sandi.
