I'm starting to see these large beautiful birds in our area

.Just west of here but still a good drive you can see them in large numbers. .Thank you for your comments.

I'm looking forward to a day of sunshine, and having lunch with my friend Kathleen who is home from Kenya, where she has been doing mission work. Some might remember she is the lady who I met while out taking pictures, and we hit it off, and have remained friends, and whenever she is home we make it a point to get together for lunch, and conversation.

I hope you have pleasant day.

Cranes are such big lanky birds who require a large frame Tigz.

Joking aside your fortunate to see them in the wild, but I'm pleased you do as you've captured her/him so well with your camera. (o:

I love the detail in the crane, and the way it looks against the background grasses. Very nicely done, Sandi.

They are fascinating. So much of the body, neck and head, in front of the feet. Perfect composition, Sandi.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen these birds in my area, perhaps standing in water but never striding around on the ground as this one appears to be doing...great shot, SAS...and have a fun day with your friend.
