One of the treats of being here in Sept. the Monarchs are still around. They glide gracefully through the air- teasing me to get a picture of them. :) My foofy for tomorrow, I will be on the road heading home so thought I would post it early.

I used the Nikon D500 with the Nikkor 20-200mm VR f2.8 lens.

I appreciate your comments, thank you.

Think you're not the only one who's heading for home, Sandi. The Monarch may be on its way to it as well, because it's pretty late for it in the season to be still active.
Wonderful and very detailed image. A very appropriate one for Foofy Friday, my friend!

The dark green is a perfect foil for the monarch Sandi - a splendid capture.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Boy is that crisp in focus and the bokeh sets it off just right. To use it for my screen, however, I'll need to crop it top and bottom. Good thing that activity won't lose the critical imagery.
