I like natural b/w scenes like this Tigz. It's hunkered down, so it must be cold. Wrap it in a towel and the towel will end up twice as soft and the Downy Woodpecker will get warm.
Capture is very well done, Sandi, wonderful pose and one does wonder what this woodpecker is thinking. Maybe, "oh gosh, she's going to take a wonderful photo of me, wish I could have a copy?"
Sandi, by its attitude, I think this woodpecker is surprised. I suppose it's meanwhile used to your feeder, but probably now wonders if your camera is full of peanuts as well, 😁 . Thanks for another fine bird shot!
