It's always a treat for me to see the monarch's return. They were very active the day I visited Ruby's back forty.

I did crop this, and maybe I should have cropped it more, oh well! :) I think I get into a certain pattern of editing.

I appreciate your comments, thanks!

It fits the "rule of thirds" quite nicely Tigz, so I don't think more cropping was necessary. You have shown where it came from and where it might go next.
The Bokeh is amazing.
Love the title.
Have a good weekend.

Beautiful! I believe they are starting to return. We've seen more this year than in passed years. Lovely capture.

What little more could one say? Cornelius, when it comes to composition...and a bunch of other things...is a great authority. This is a beautiful piece of work, Sandi.

Sandi, I 'hate' (😁) the rule of thirds, as referred by Tick above, because it's mostly interpreted as a dogma instead of a guideline.
The amount of cropping however, is well chosen.
So this wonderful butterfly (Monarch) capture is a treat to me as well!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
